Show: Anne With An E

What: A show based on a book about a girl who is an orphan and a ginger so no one wants here, and then people accidentally adopt her and then they all love each other. Also this girl is like SUPER Dramatic, but in a cute way.

Why: Well I alway loved Anne Shirley. Growing my sister, Alexandra, and I watched the 1980s mini series obsessively and a young girl who was scared to disappoint people and lived more than half her life in fictional worlds just spoke to me for some reason (That reason is I’m a narcissist). This new Netflix version of Anne of Green Gables is just beautiful. They expand on the story, and have the budget and resources to make the world as big as it always was in my mind.
I put off watching this show for a while, for not particular reason (#notmyGilbert), but now that I have given it a change I really love it, and it takes me right back to my childhood and those really big scary feelings that kids are experiencing for the first time, if ever.
If nothing else watch this show because it is just very pretty. Prince Edward Island is a gorgeous place, and Green Gables is, as always, breathtaking.
